About Onyx
About Onyx Restoration & Recovery, a Philadelphia Restoration Company
Onyx Restoration & Recovery LLC: a Philadelphia restoration contractor with 17 years in water, fire and mold work. Insured, one crew start to finish.
IICRC certified. Insured. Free estimates. 17 years in restoration. Residential and commercial.
Onyx Restoration & Recovery LLC is a Philadelphia-based restoration contractor. For 17 years the crew has handled water damage, fire and smoke damage, mold, storm damage and the rebuild that follows, in rowhomes, apartments, warehouses, grocery stores, offices and event venues across Philadelphia, Bucks, Montgomery and Delaware County.
Most restoration jobs get split between a drying company, a demo crew and a contractor who all blame each other. Onyx does not work that way. The same people who extract the water and run the meters are the ones who hang the drywall and lay the floor when the numbers say the structure is dry.
Meet the owner
Onyx is owned and run by Jose Salas, with 17 years in restoration work. When you call Onyx you deal with the owner and his crew, not a call center or a franchise dispatch line.
IICRC certified, certification #204190. The IICRC sets the industry standards for water damage, fire and smoke, and mold remediation work.
How we work
- Measure first. Moisture meters and a thermal camera show where the water actually went, not just where it pooled. That map becomes the drying plan and part of your claim file.
- Photograph everything. Before, during and after. If insurance is involved, we document the loss and work with your adjuster.
- Dry to the meter, not the calendar. Equipment runs until readings hit dry standard.
- Rebuild in-house. Drywall, flooring, trim, paint, cabinets. One estimate, one crew, one point of contact.
Commercial work
Warehouses with hundreds of square feet under water, a grocery store after a roof fire, an office lobby soaked by a failed line, a venue flooded the night before an event. Onyx plans the work around your hours so you keep operating where it is safe to do so.
Where we work
